FAQ

How many dogs can you walk at once?

There is no set rule and dog walking is not licenced and manged in the UK.

It will depends on the dogs I am walking as I need to ensure that I am in control of the dogs at all times and they all have a good time in a safe environment. Dogs are pack animals, although some dogs are better in small groups of 2 to 3, others are happy in a group of 4 to 6. The maximum number of dogs I will walk myself at any one time will be 6 as allowed under my insurance.

Can you visit my pet or walk my dog evenings, weekends or bank holidays and are there extra charges?

Yes, evenings are currently same as day rate, there is an increase for Saturdays (+25%).

Bank holidays and Christmas (if open) are charged at double rate.

My dog is nervous around other dogs, will you be able to walk them?

The free meet and greet will give myself, you and your dog(s) to get to know each other and establish the best start on their journey with me.

I can provide solo walks, however one of the benefits of group dog walking is how much it can improve your dog’s socialisation. If your dog is nervous and non aggressive I can start off with solo walks and then slowly introduce them to an appropriate group of friendly dogs, if it is felt this would be beneficial for your dog. Dogs can gain confidence quite quickly and settle into a group dog walking with some support.

My pet needs to go to the vet, will you take them?

Yes I can. I have a Defra type 1 authorisation which allows me to transport dogs and cats for up to 8 hours, I also have insurance to carry your pet in my vehicle. I can secure them in my van in one of the safe and secure DT crash tested crates I have. Mileage is £0.50 per mile and £5 per 15 mins of time.
